Housed in a restored historic 1800’s brick building in the Arts District located in the American Sector, New Orleans School of GlassWorks & Printmaking Studio has been a non-profit studio & gallery since 1990. As the South’s largest studio of contemporary art, we offer: glassblowing & casting, scientific glass torchworking, stained glass, silver alchemy jewelry, copper enameling, printmaking, engraving, paper marbling, & paper engineering (pop-up books). Educational & cultural exhibits in the front room, New Orleans ArtWorks Gallery, complement the spacious working artist studios.
The studio serves multiple purposes & provides an opportunity for BREATHTAKING FREE DAILY DEMONSTRATIONS by local master craftsmen, often collaborating with international artisans in the traditional, elegant European style.
